Luxury, Christmas Bird Garlands Cards – Unique original designs – pack of four

This pack of four cards is a group of beautiful hand-painted Christmas birds set in decorative leafy garlands, with the message Happy Christmas. Each of these designs is available as single cards; buying in a pack of course can save you money on cards and postage with a single postage payment.

Its a wise choice with this first Christmas Owl card. I think we are all facinated by owls and the magic of a dark quiet night in a forest when you hear the haunting hoot of an owl. Their large eyes and the way they can turn their heads around is truely wonderful. The hand-painted Barn Owl is taken from my ‘Owls at Twilight’ card and transformed in a Christmas setting, with autumnal leaves and berries against a dark night sky with a full moon.

The second card features the male pheasant with its beautiful combination of pattern and colours, from the autumn rusts and ochres to the bright greens and turquoise. This Christmas setting, with autumnal leaves, ferns, grasses, berries and cones makes a perfect festive garland. A proud pheasant standing on snow covered rocks is highlighted against a misty grey ombre ground.

The third card is the very popular partridge part of the pheasant family. They are ground dwelling birds so a partridge in a pear tree is not a reality, just taken from the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ The ombre blues, grey and brown feathers just melt into each other, with black dotting around the neck and fabulous striped wings, this bird is captivating and handsome. All hand-painted he stands on a mossy log surrounded by autumn leaves and low hanging pears. A dark ombre grey background inside the garland makes the partridge and touches of snow stand out in this winter Christmas scene.

The fourth and last card is the Robin one of our most familar British birds adorning our Christmas cards every year. This friendly little sweet singing bird makes such a perfect festive subject with its red breast set against a frosty winter morning scene. A hand-painted garland of leaves, berries and conkers surround the beautiful central robin which stands out against a dark grey ombre tonal circle. Two smaller robins are perched either side of the ‘Happy Christmas’
