Owls at Twilight

The Owls at Twilight is a subject I have been meaning to cover for ages as I have so many requests at shows and fairs for designs featuring Owls.   The central character is a large Barn Owl  perched on a tree trunk, another is about to take flight and the Little Owl sits way up in the trees!  When the light is just changing from day to night or vice versa is the only chance we may have to see these extraodinary birds in the wild.  We often hear the call of the owl at night and the rustle of other noctural creatures around, such as the badger and hedgehog and may see silhouettes of bats and nighthawks in the sky.  All these animals are hand-painted, as is most of the shrubbery and trees, other images are from photos, and this mix of media creates this unique imaginery scene in Photoshop.
