Wedding Day – Abracadabra Rose Handmade Card

Autumn and Christmas Weddings can be even more beautiful than those in Summer, using deep rich tones of colour makes a stunning visual event.  Of course you will need a card that reflects that special occasion.  This abolutely gorgeous burgundy and cream striped rose really does illustrate the beauty of nature; the velvet texture and intensity of colour does not need to be enhanced, as it is the original colour when in full bloom.  Each bloom is unique with a varity of stripes.  Every year I look for new roses for the garden and I so pleased to have found this Abracadabra rose at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show this year.

Mixing hand-painted flora and fauna with photographic images is what I love to do, bringing the design to life on paper.  This decoative garland is printed directly onto the card. The perfect large rose and heart containing the message to the ‘Special Couple’ are both hand-cut and mounted in relief to stand out from the card.  The design is finished with a few red glass gems for added sparkle. What a fantastic way to Congratulate the Happy Couple on their very special day!
