The Garden Birdwatch-Happy Birthday Card
I love watching and feeding the birds. ‘The Big Garden Bird Watch’ run by the RSPB is a way to really see what and how many birds are visiting your garden. The Blue Tit and House Sparrow were the most frequent visitors in large numbers on the day. I took an hour to do the survey this year which I really enjoyed and taking note of the wildlife visiting the garden was my inspiration for this card. Therefore I named this card ‘The Garden Bird Watch’ to remind me of that day. These birds feeding at breakfast time in the early morning sunshine is unique card in many ways; the terracotta plant pot feeder was a Christmas present created by a relative, something personal and handmade like this card. I have used a photograph of it hanging from the apple tree in the garden. Unfortunately at this time of year the branches are bare, so hand painted leaves and my own painted birds are what bring this scene to life. The feeder and birds are hand-cut and mounted on the printed ground.
Inside the card is another plant pot with the text Happy Birthday.
The White card is 150 x 150 mm with a buff envelope.
