A Bee-eater Bird in Pattern – Hand painted Card

This technicolour wonder, the fabulous European Bee-eater is native to southern Europe, N. Africa andd S. Africa in winter, but also a visitor here and has been spotted in Nolfolk. I love painting all wildlife but especially birds because of their amazing variety of size, colours, patterns and beautiful plumage! This is one of a new group of cards, ‘Birds in Pattern’ where everything is hand-painted, printed in the studio, and handmade. The Bee-catcher is painted in gouache and set in a circle to stand out on a background of Spring flowers. A unique combination bringing together both sides of my work; pattern in the form of a textile design and a painting of nature. Set on on a soft pastel green ground, a few glass gems are added for that extra sparkle. The design is also featured on my 2026 desk calendar, brightening up the warm Summer month of July.

This card is a blank card, perfect to brighten up Birthdays, Anniversaries, or any occasion.
