Ruby Wedding Anniversary – Abracadabra Rose Handmade Card

Celebrating a Ruby Wedding Anniversary, 40 years together is a milestone and warrants a very special card. This beautiful burgundy red and cream striped rose reflects beautifully that stunning ruby precious stone.

Photographing roses in my garden captures that freshness straight from nature.  This gorgeous flower does illustrate the beauty of nature; the velvet texture and intensity of colour does not need to be enhanced, as it is the original colour when in full bloom. Each bloom is unique with a varity of stripes. Every year I look for new roses for the garden and I so pleased to have found this Abracadabra rose at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show this year.

I love mixing hand-painted flora and fauna with photographic images it brings the design and them to life on paper.  This circle of hand painted leaves, white flowers and matching two tone pansies of red and white makes a beautiful garland surrounding the Congratulations message. Printed, hand-cut, mounted in relief and placed centrally on the card, it is finished with a few red glass gems for added sparkle. What a fantastic way to say ‘Happy Anniversary!’
