£9.00
Looking for the perfect desk calender to keep you upto date? This free standing compact calender has 12 different designs one of each month. All these designs feature some of our beautiful wild birds, some that live here in the UK and others that may just visit on their way to warmer climes. Set in a circle they are surrounded by intricate patterns, all hand-painted designs from my extensive archive of work as a textile designer.
JANUARY features the wonderful Jays with their flash of blue they are nesting and surrounded by an allover pattern of feathers to welcome you into the New Year! FEBRUARY is celebrated by the Wood Pigeons, with their subtle tones of lilac, blue, greys and brown. Perched in a circle they are set on a hand-painted trellis of passion flowers. MARCH starts us off with a watery scence with water fowl enjoying a cold winter morning, all set on a pretty floral. APRIL, we have some yellows, blues and greens florals reflecting the time of year. The central circle has a cute bluetit perching by chrysanthemums. MAY we burst into warmer colours with the red coral chest of the Bullfinch. He loves being surrounded by this soft rose and lace design. JUNE has the extroadinary Hoopoe bird which visits us once a year. He has found a coordinating coral rose design where he feels at home. JULY is the stunning Bee-eater, what fantistic colours his plumage is. He can peer out of his circle at the colourful floral design set on green. AUGUST Has to be hotter and the Parakeets are out in the park in Oxford near me. The background of green leaves and large pink flowers makes a perfect setting for this happy pair. SEPTEMBER the garden birds are feeding on my new birdfeeder, this everyday scene stands out on a stylized leaf and butterfly pattern on black. OCTOBER is Autumn and the colours are reflected in this floral and leaf design. The Chaffinch stands out on his branch, he too has the reds, golds and browns for this time of year. NOVEMBER the leaves have fallen making a beautiful pattern to surround the appearance of the grey partridge a little early for Christmas. DECEMBER, yes, it’s Christmas time! We need some festive colours. The male pheasant does not disappoint with his splendid bright plumage. The same colours are brought into a very festive background pattern of leaves, cones and holly to surround this impressive bird.
The dates are on a white ground.
