What better way to say Happy Birthday than with beautiful decorative china, a cup of tea and a scrumptuous cup cake.. This floral design comes from one of my hand-painted designs for fashion; the pink and lilac swirling flowers make a great decorative pattern. The cup, saucer and cup cake are drawn in Illustrator then parts are cut from the pattern in Photoshop, or shaded with ombre colours. The cup is hand-cut and set in relief on the saucer. The floral design creeps in on the corners to frame this pretty image and a little sparkle is added with lilac glass gems. This design is also featured on a “New Home Card’and ‘Happy Mother’s Day” card.
