A Christmas Owl Garland – Happy Christmas Handmade Card

I think we are all facinated by owls and the magic of a dark quiet night in a forest when you hear the haunting hoot of an owl.  Their large eyes and the way they can turn their heads around is truely wonderful. You can listen to their individual calls on ‘The Tweet of the Day’ Radio Four iplayer with many other British birds.  The hand-painted Barn Owl is taken from my ‘Owls at Twilight’ card and transformed in a Christmas setting, with autumnal leaves and berries against a dark night sky with a full moon.  Small glass gems and glitter to highlight the snow to add that bit of Christmas sparkle. One of the first designs in the Christmas Wildlife Garland collection.
